How To Close FD In SBI Online

In this article I will show you the process of closing a bank account through online Net banking. If you do not have net banking then you will have to visit your nearest bank.

Step-1: First, login to SBI Net Banking.

Step-2: Go to ‘Deposits & Investments’ tab and click on Fixed Deposit option at the bottom.

Step-3: Click on the Fixed Deposit you want to close (if you have multiple Fixed Deposits) and click on ‘Proceed’ button.

Step-4: Then click on ‘Close A/c prematurely’.

Step-5: Provide the FD account number you want to close (if you have multiple Fixed Deposits).

Step-6: The maturity proceeds will be automatically transferred to the respective debit account from which your FD was originally funded at the time of opening (the money will be credited to your account within 48 hours).
